Hello there,

It's Lola, your MIM, here to guide you through the early stages of pregnancy. Congratulations on reaching 13 weeks!

The Peach Stage

Your baby is now about the size of a peach - roughly 7.5 centimetres from crown to rump and weighing around an ounce. That's a serious jump from the tiny sesame seed they were just a few weeks back. This week, distinct fingertips are forming, and if you're expecting a girl, her ovaries already contain over two million eggs.

Something worth thinking about: your baby's lungs are developing quickly too. They're actually practising breathing movements inside the womb, even though they're still getting all their oxygen through the umbilical cord. There's something remarkable about the fact that they're already rehearsing for that first real breath.

Your Journey at Thirteen Weeks

You've made it through the first trimester - and that's a genuine milestone. For a lot of women, this is the hardest stretch thanks to early pregnancy symptoms, so the fact that you're through it matters. The second trimester is often called the "golden period" of pregnancy, and there are good reasons for that.

You may start to notice the nausea easing off and your energy coming back. That said, your body is still adapting and changing as your baby grows, so expect a mix of relief and anticipation. That's all completely normal.

Bump Watch

Things are starting to become visible now. Whether you've already popped or you're just beginning to show, every body handles this differently. There's no right timeline - your bump will do its own thing.

Embracing Each Moment

As you move into this next phase, look after yourself too. A bath, some gentle movement, a bit of quiet time - it all counts. Pregnancy isn't just about what's happening physically. It's also about getting yourself ready, emotionally and mentally, for what's ahead.

If you're looking for a bit of extra support along the way, pregnancy.ai is built to help you through each stage with personalised guidance.

Warmly,

Lola
